Parish Profile
Following the initial meeting on 31st January, the PCC have now selected a team of 5 people to write the parish profile, who will work together to put together the Parish Profile.
We were delighted that, at the initial meeting in January, 35 of our church family were able to group together, and with Archdeacons Phil and Richard, to contribute to the start of this profile document. Your contributions from the day and from the feedback form will all be taken into consideration - it's important to all of us that the many varied voices that make up our church family are represented.

We are privileged to have children as young as 1 years old through to people in their 80s. We have people who have been at the church for 40 years as well as people who have just started worshipping with us. Our kids & youth provision continues to be a valuable way to help young people develop their faith and we have been successful in securing funding to recruit a full time Kids & Youth Team Lead to continue this work. Our varied service styles mean we all get to experience worship and encounter God in different ways and we are all passionate about how we continue to be a beacon of Jesus' love, hope and light in Daybrook.

What is the Parish Profile?
The Parish Profile is our way of presenting who (as the communities of St Paul's and St Tim's) we are, what we are about, what we want to become and achieve and how God is at work here, through us and in our parish. It will be used during this period of interregnum to signpost potential vicars who may be called to lead us and is designed to help them consider whether their gifts, leadership and vision for church community align with ours.

What happens now?
The selected team of 5 represent all aspects of who we are as a church. They will meet together during April to create this parish profile document. In early May, the PCC will review this along with the Diocese. We will continue to update our church community about the progress that is made.

If you have any questions about this process, please email hello@stpaulsdaybrook.co.uk

What happens then?
Whilst they are a little way off, the next part of the process will be the interviews. It is a requirement that this stage involves two members of the PCC & those members will be selected in good time. The PCC will continue to provide updates at services, through the weekly newsletter and on this website as we move through the process - it is important to us all that all members of our church family feel they are aware and involved in this process.
Reflections so far...
At the meeting, we found it a great source of encouragement that we were the first in 30 churches going through the parish profile process to rank children and youth work as the focus area we have had most growth in - valid acknowledgement of the work done in this area of our mission and to the wonderful young disciples who are part of our church.

Thank you for taking the time to submit the feedback forms ahead of the parish profile meeting in January. Below are some of the key outtakes.

Pray for the process
Please be in prayer for St Paul's and St Tim's during this period of interregnum. That God will take us from where we are to where he wants us to be & that everyone in our church community feels his support, encouragement & direction & that whilst there is much to do, we all remember that this is not ours alone to carry.
Pray for our people
Please hold in your prayer the five selected members of our church community who will compile the parish profile. Pray that they hear God in their conversations, planning, writing and editing and are guided by the spirit to capture every part of who we are as a church community. Pray that the individual gifts and talents that God has given them will be a blessing on the process.
Anything you want to know?
The PCC are committed to being as open and transparent about the whole process as possible, so if at any point you feel out of the loop please just speak up! We are in this, prayerfully, together and in the loving hands of God who will hold and guide us through this next season.
