Parish Profile
On Saturday 31st January, 35 of our church family met with Archdeacons Phil and Richard to begin the process of writing our parish profile.
We were delighted that the many and varied voices that make up our church family were represented. Church members from 1 years old to 80, people who had been at the church 40 years and people who had only just started coming, attendees across the whole range of services we offer, all passionate about how we, as churches and as a parish, can be a beacon of the love, hope and light of Jesus in Daybrook.

What is the Parish Profile?
The Parish Profile is our way of presenting who (as the communities of St Paul's and St Tim's) we are, what we are about, what we want to become and achieve and how God is at work here, through us and in our parish. It will be used during this period of interregnum to signpost potential vicars who may be called to lead us and is designed to help them consider whether their gifts, leadership and vision for church community align with ours.

What happens now?
Archdeacons Phil and Richard are in the process of pulling all the information gathered last Saturday into a document that will be shared with the PCC in the coming weeks. From there, a team of four selected volunteers will be involved in writing the parish profile. Anyone can volunteer to be part of this team & we will be sharing information in the coming weeks about this, but if you would like information please email hello@stpaulsdaybrook.co.uk
What happens then?
Whilst they are a little way off, the next part of the process will be the interviews. It is a requirement that this stage involves two members of the PCC & those members will be selected in good time. The PCC will continue to provide updates at services, through the weekly newsletter and on this website as we move through the process - it is important to us all that all members of our church family feel they are aware and involved in this process.
Reflections so far...
At the meeting, we found it a great source of encouragement that we were the first in 30 churches going through the parish profile process to rank children and youth work as the focus area we have had most growth in - valid acknowledgment of the work done in this area of our mission and to the wonderful young disciples who are part of our church.

Pray for the process
Please be in prayer for St Paul's and St Tim's during this period of interregnum. That God will take us from where we are to where he wants us to be & that everyone in our church community feels his support, encouragement & direction & that whilst there is much to do, we all remember that this is not ours alone to carry.
Pray for our people
Our focus right now is on gathering the four people from church who will be involved in writing our parish profile. Could you be one of these people? Do you have someone in mind that you think would do a great job of sharing who we are as a parish? Please be in prayer that the collective and individual gifts and talents of our church family will help us in finding those people and that together and with God at the centre, we will work towards a representative reflection of everything that we are.
Feedback
If you weren't able to make the parish profile morning, please do still fill in the feedback forms here or pick up a paper copy at the back of church. If you are aged 0-18, please take time with your grown up or leader to complete the form here. All information will be collected and will go towards the profile document.

Anything you want to know?
The PCC are committed to being as open and transparent about the whole process as possible, so if at any point you feel out of the loop please just speak up! We are in this, prayerfully, together and in the loving hands of God who will hold and guide us through this next season.
