Our Buildings
Victorian church architecture is a bit like marmite – some people love it, others not so much. It’s all a matter of taste, but nonetheless we, the people of St Paul’s, have inherited a historic/listed building. As you can imagine, this is both an immense
privilege and an equally immense challenge!
Heating, lighting, leaks, and damp, are words that keep this vicar awake at night - as well as dreaming about wonderful possibilities! And so in addition to raising money for ministry costs and community projects we are aware that a large percentage of our income goes on maintaining our building.
At St Paul’s we are committed to both preserving its beauty and adapting it to the changing needs of society – accessibility, warmth, sustainability and ambiance are all considerations for the modern-historic church.
The majority of our money comes from our congregation - those of us who are committed members of the church. We recognise however, that there may be those in our city who are equally passionate about our building and want to help support us in preserving its position and legacy in the parish. The more we all
contribute the more we can do together.
If you would like to find out more about our vision and how you can support us, we would love to hear from you.

If you would like to book St Paul’s, St Paul’s church hall or St Tim’s Community Centre (Swinburne Way) for a wedding, a concert, an exhibition, party or community event, we would love to show you around and talk to you about our facilities.
Thank you for your support in keeping St Paul’s on the map and at the heart of parish life.
Blessings,
Rev Jac
